BMCE was delighted to exhibit and represent the major producers of the Jamaican coffee industry at the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe World of Coffee Trade Show in Nice, France on 26-28 June 2013. Held at the Société d'Exploitation de l'Acropolis de Nice, BMCE attends and exhibits at the SCAE events every year. They constitute a useful place to meet with existing customers, new clients and coffee people from all over the world and from every walk of life; as well as finding out about the latest new products and ideas in the coffee world.

Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee wins Great Taste Award

Winning a Great Taste gold star is no easy task. Of the 9738 products entered, only 33.8% were awarded a star.

The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the acknowledged benchmark for speciality food and drink. It has been described as the 'Oscars' of the food world and the 'epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize'. Quite simply the Great Taste logo is the sign you can trust when buying food and drink in your local, quality retailer.

SCAE Rimini 2014 Show Review

The setting for this year’s SCAE World of Coffee event was the coastal city of Rimini in Italy, and the stunning views and sandy beaches did not disappoint the thousands of visitors that attended with a record number of companies exhibiting, as well as over 8000 visitors to the show across three days.

JAMAICA coffee prices are set for another round of double-digit increases based on heightened demand and production shortages, according to the Jamaica Coffee Exporters Association (JCEA) and for the supply of coffee to meet demand in about three years.
